Getting closer to the historical center of the Rinconadas, guided by the Tower of Jesus Nazareno in the background, it is easy to perceive how the parcel expected for the new Civic Center of Los Silos, recalls to the agricultural origins of the municipality, locating itself in the middle of a path that, starting surrounded by fields where the bed of the Guadalquivir, contains a valuable network of public spaces.
The presented proposal, far from isolating itself, plans to join the system, extending the building to the entire plot, and the plot to the street, encouraging and gently inviting any citizen to the activities going on into the interior spaces.
Once inside the building, a set of combinable spaces, interchangeable and extendable to the exterior, show the will to accompany the major diversity of possible public programs.
Arises so the idea of the patio as a climate control possibility and opportunity to generate a social meeting point in the Civic Center, as part of a well-known construction system of the place, in which some old silos lend to memory materiality and TRACE.
